Mr. Johnson Aning-Dei attended Dormaa Secondary School in 1958.
In 1963 he attended the Ghana Institute of Journalism in Accra. He worked with Daily Graphic and the now defunct Daily Gazette. (Tema) as a news reporter.
In 1969, Mr. Aning-Dei left for (La Cote D’Ivoire) Ivory
Coast. He enrolled at the Alliance Française and at the University of Abidjan
(section pour les Anglophones), and obtained his Diplome Sup rieur d’Études Françaises et Contemporaines (DSEF). He taught English Language at École Nouvelle Ivoirienne (ENI), Abidjan and later became Director of Studies at Collège Konan now (Lycee Konan) at Yamoussoukro and Collège Kofi Ackant at Dimbokro, (La Cote D’Ivoire).
In 1984, he returned to Ghana and took up appointment as Administrative
Assistant with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST). He worked with the Faculties of Science and Social Sciences. He taught French at various French Remedial Classes organized by the Institute of Technical Education (KNUST) and on Part-time basis at the University Primary School.
He was formerly Chief Administrative Assistant at the University Relations Office (PRO) of Registrar’s Department. His First French book “French for Beginners” appeared in 1988. It has since been revised as French for Lower and Upper Primary Schools. He is the author of the following basic French books. French for Basic Education (Stage 1-6), and French Work Book for J.H.S. (1-3). He is married with children and his hobbies are reading, writing ,vegetable gardening and animal rearing.
